Meet Andrea King, the newly crowned Miss World Guyana 2022 and the founder of Project FLO. Andrea is a young, ambitious woman who is determined to make a difference in her community. As a project manager at the Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company (GTT) and a graduate in Business Management and Administration, Andrea has the skills and the drive to make a real impact.

Andrea has always been passionate about financial literacy, and she recognized that there was a gap in the education system in Guyana when it comes to teaching young people about money management. Miss King created Project FLO, a Beauty with a Purpose project that aims to educate children about financial literacy under the theme “Learning about money before earning money.” With the help of the Bank of Guyana, she has developed a syllabus to teach financial literacy to students at the primary and secondary levels. She has already started workshops with over 200 students and plans to continue this work while advocating for the Ministry of Education to provide financial literacy education in all schools throughout Guyana. As Miss World Guyana 2022, Andrea will use her platform to continue her work with Project FLO and make a real difference in the lives of young people in Guyana.
